Hey everyone...it's been a long time

Hi guys, not sure if some of you remember me, but my participation with CKW goes back to late 2007 into 2008, back when Private_Up2NoGood was the leader of the clan, and also when Battlefield 2 was at its prime. That was a great game, with a lot of memories still floating around as well. My all time favorite was CKW's 24/7 Gulf of Oman server...I remember it always being full (64/64), and the rest of the clan members and I having a blast. Some names that I can remember back then were E-Deuce, xt0n1cx, numfifteen, t.hood, cotton420smoke, dreamphantom, the janitor, sidewind3d, blkhwk117, ventvet, cheetofingeros, sixfoot3, stoopdapoop, inthered4, blackgallager, sephasrocks, lil_daddy, and many others. I see that things have changed a lot...even the name. Who is running the clan now? Anyone still here back from the good ol' days? Anyway, I'm happy to stop by again and check in to see how things are going. To the newer members here...definitely a lot of history behind the CKW name.

Sadly most of the old members have gone Sniper is running the clan now and bf2 and cs aren't as popular as they used to be :/

Depends what you call old school, I started with CKW back in 2007.

We're currently re-organizing... Unfortunately since school is back in session a lot of people are AWOL.

We hope to get things back up, we had a dedicated box, but due to an accounting issue we have to reorder. With the lack of activity, we're not sure when.

I see. Come to think of it, i remember your name back in those days as well. Is Hector officially gone? Did he relinquish his position at CKW and turn it over to you? Hope everything works out...I remember how hard it was to get the servers filled up, even with BF2 as the clan's niche in the gaming world. Must be harder than ever right now.

It was a bit more dramatic than that. The whole story is on the main page, but pretty much the founders cut the CS division. The battlefield players and founders went through a few name changes, ending with the founders canceling the dedicated server. (without letting us know before hand)

We decided to resurrect [CKW] while at the same time simplifying things from the old system.

You might not know about hector/ben's LOTRO addiction. It's what caused them to kill the clan.

They even started their own clan based on it- hosted on the same webserver we're on.

I know we can re populate our servers, its just a matter of choosing the right game.

yeah. bf3 is being worked on atm. Its supposed to be using the frostbite 2 engine which is even better then what bc2 uses. When that comes out hosting a server or 2 would be really nice.

As long as it isn't bf heroes with more realistic graphics it could be fun.

That sounds pretty awesome. When that comes out I'd definitely give it a whirl...hopefully game play from BF2 is somewhat retained, only with a bit more realism and new features of course.
