This will not end well. Sure it will be funny to see some poor fucking cod kiddie get matched up to top cal-i players but this is just failure waiting to happen. Thankfully the cross platform matchmaking is only for non dedicated servers, and dedi owners can still tweek the server to their liking. 8 new weapons too. Decoy grenade and molotov. Tec9, sawed off shotty, bizon, mag7, IMI negev, and a friggin tazer. Honestly I'm not TOO worried about it anymore but I would like to see some more pistols.

Coming from a battlefield 2 veteran who was opposed to a game engine change, I think we should be excited for GO. Mixing it up every few years keeps the player base fresh.

In fact, this will be a priority, as we have been needing to dump CS 1.6 as a main division. I believe this will be big for us as well.

Hopefully Valve doesn't focus TOO much on consoles. As long as Valve gives the PC crowd the tools needed to make their own maps and mods for it then everything should work out.

hmmmm. this cross console is kinda worrying. I know there are some really good COd players that can kill you in half an eyeblink But do you guys think that They can really compete with computer users?

These little kids that play COD and shit have no idea what CS is...its sad..fucking sad. I can wait till i can own kids with my keyboard and mouse. Everytime i play Xbox or Playstation i always say "If i had a keyboard and mouse, your ass would get owned." looks like my dream is comming true.

Only Valve hosted servers, catering to more casual gamers will be using this. We will still be hosting our public servers, and as the article says, we will be allowed to tweak the game (plugins) as we see fit.

That's unfortunate

CS GO looks pretty good but I hope it's not just a enhanced version of cs source... The original creator of cs 1.6 is working on a game called tactical intervention. I watched gameplay of both games and tactical intervention may not be as good as GO due to not being under valve's financial support, but it might be better gameplay considering it's designed by the same person as 1.6?

I just hope what ever comes out will be 2011 relevant, not 1999.
